I’ve said it before, and I’m sure I’ll say it over and over and over again, but I am so incredibly blessed with the amazing couples that I get to work with!! Alex and Savannah came from Tulsa, Oklahoma for their Texas Hill Country engagement photos and I was just blown away by how sweet they are.

Alex and Savannah had planned on being in town and taking their engagement photos at Remi’s Ridge months ago, and the week of the session we ended up having to move their portrait time up a couple of hours, which was definitely doable, but meant that we’d miss out on that prime golden hour light. However, good thing we went this route, because the day of their session called for thunderstorms for the original time we scheduled. Dark clouds toward the west started creeping in on our sunlight, which turned what normally would have been bright harsh afternoon sun into soft even pretty light! AND the storms held off until right at the end — the time we had originally planned to start shooting! And by “right at the end” I mean, it started sprinkling while we were taking the final photos, and when I got into my car it started POURING!!!  It would have been such a disappointment if they had driven all the way down from Oklahoma, we had stuck with the original time and couldn’t take the photos. It was just a sweet little reminder of how much God is so involved in the details. 🙂

Getting to spend time with these two in-person made me even more excited for their Dallas wedding ate Milestone in Aubrey this spring. Until then, enjoy some of my favorites of their Hill Country engagement photos.
