I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: Shooting weddings for my friends is just THE BEST!! It’s so fun to celebrate with them ALL DAY, document all the special moments, and I get to hangout with them more than just about everyone else through out the day. And I often think, “How is this my job?!” because absolutely nothing about it feels like work.
All of this is 110% true for Hunter and Sheridan’s wedding! Hunter and I are good friends from college and I knew when some of the first words he said to me after not seeing him for a a while was “Ang, you have to meet my girlfriend!!” that Sheridan had to be someone special! The are absolutely perfect for each other and I don’t think I’ve ever seen a couple have so much FUN together — all the time! They are always smiling, laughing and acting goofy, and I was laughing right along with them the whole time at their engagement session last fall!
If you don’t know them and you follow along with me, you might recognize them from Adam and Avery’s wedding in December. Adam is another friend of mine from college, and Sheridan and Avery are sisters, so it was super fun to celebrate with these two families and a bunch of college friends!
Hunter and Sheridan chose to have a traditional wedding at Hyde Park Baptist church, the church Sheridan grew up in and also where her parents were married. It was such a sweet ceremony. One of my favorite moments was following them right after the ceremony and capturing a few images of their first moments as Husband and Wife.
After some wedding party and husband and wife portraits at the church, we headed over to Phillips Event Center to celebrate! Hunter is in a band with a few of the other groomsmen (Hunter Rea Band – shameless proud friend plug! Check ’em out!), and he along with a few friends and Sheridan’s Grandpa combined to form a quartet and surprised her with song at the reception. Sheridan had a fun surprise for Hunter too, but that one is more fun told by the photos, so without further delay, enjoy some of my favorite images from their Hyde Park Baptist Church wedding:
And the record for how many people I’ve taken a photo of at once….However many that is! ☝️
The Quartet surprise!
And the garter surprise: A Smirnoff Ice!
Snuck in for a photo with 3 out of 4 of my college roommates!
And for Copperhead Road…
Caught the wink!
Congratulations, Mr. & Mrs. Glaske!!!
