Here we go with another Addison Grove wedding day! I love this place – and this couple! I had an absolute blast out at McKinney Falls with Chris and Alexis for their engagement session earlier this year, and I was so excited to get them back in front of my camera!

A surprise hill country thunderstorm popped up in the middle of Chris and Alexis’ wedding day, but nothing could put a damper on these two! We experienced overcast, turned brief sunshine, turned sprinkle – downpour – sprinkle RIGHT when it was time to start pre-ceremony portraits. We were able to sneak outside for a few quick bridal party portraits with some clear bubble umbrellas (that always stay in my car for this exact reason!)  and in the middle of my time photographing the groomsmen the rain stopped completely! So we ditched the umbrellas and I then hurried back over to the girls to sneak in another set of bridesmaids photos while all the chairs were being wiped off so Chris and Alexis could still have their ceremony outside in the grove – and we didn’t see another drop of rain the whole day! Ellen with Westcott Weddings did an INCREDIBLE job making sure the day went off without a hitch and was exactly the way Chris and Alexis envisioned it to be.

My favorite part of the whole day was that throughout the ceremony the sun kept peeking out for little bits and came back out RIGHT when the officiant said “You may now kiss the bride!” No kidding! I turned to my second shooter and was like “did you see that?!” So fun!

After the ceremony we took some fun wedding party portraits at the ceremony site and then moved on to portrait time with the new Mr. & Mrs. around the pretty Addison Grove property. Enjoy a little sneak peek of Chris and Alexis’ wedding day!
