This Firefly Farm wedding was extra special for me because Hayley is a friend of mine! We met through church about 4 years ago and I remember being so excited for her when I started seeing photos of Tim popping up on her social media! Since Tim lived in Ohio, I didn’t actually get to meet him until he came down to propose to Hayley. Tim got my number from another friend of ours and called to introduce himself and tell me about his plans. I knew before I had even met him that he was an incredible man and cared so much for Hayley. We spent a good amount of time talking about what a genuine and giving person Hayley is before we even got to his proposal plans!
I met Tim for the first time on a beautiful 60-something-degree December 30th and we were scoping out “the spot” while Tim told me his version of their story. I had already heard Hayley’s, and it was so fun to hear both sides! When Tim proposed the next day on NYE and it had dropped to 28 degrees, but despite the freezing weather (and mist) it was such a sweet moment to watch (and sneakily photograph from the brush… Haha!). Needless to say, by the time their wedding day came around I was beyond excited!
We had the prettiest weather out at Firefly Farm and it was so fun to spend the day “working” along with so many of my friends there! (You’ll see me pop up in a photo or two when you start scrolling… 😉 ) Before the ceremony, Tim and Hayley met up around a corner to hold hands and pray, which easily made for my favorite moment of the day. During the ceremony a dark storm cloud was rolling in and I just kept praying that it was mosey on along… well I think what ended up happening was even better! The last few minutes of their ceremony it started lightly raining while it was still sunny and kept lightly raining through their first kiss and the recessional. (Look closely and you’ll be able to see the raindrops!)
After the ceremony, we took some fun wedding party photos in the (no-longer-raining) sunshine and then went back out for sunset portraits with Tim and Hayley. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Taking a few minutes out of the reception for sunset portraits is worth it EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. Start scrolling and you’ll see for yourself!
Tim and Hayley – Thank you for trusting me with documenting such a special day for you two! Enjoy a little sneak of your wedding photos!
