Amanda reached out to me at the end of last fall all the way from Oklahoma (thanks to Instagram!), and I was so excited to finally meet her and John Eric while they were in town finalizing wedding details. We planned a quick engagement session and it was STORMING that morning – like super dark clouds and I did not think it would let up. We actually talked about possibly having to cancel because I knew they were waiting until after the session to drive all the way back to Oklahoma. I’m SO GLAD they decided to wait it out because we got the most GORGEOUS sunshine!!! Seriously, it didn’t even look like the same day. (Thank you unpredictable Central Texas spring weather for working in my favor!)
We went out to The Overlook at Lake Georgetown, which is one of my absolute favorite spots here! I love all the trails and trees, and of course, the lake at sunset. John Eric and Amanda are complete naturals in front of the camera and so cute together! They felt like instant friends and it made me even more excited for their wedding in just a few short weeks at Antebellum Oaks!
