This Texas Old Town Wedding was especially fun for me because the Bride is a friend, my sister was in the wedding, and my mom and brother were guests! I absolutely LOVED having family around to celebrate with Kodi and Mercedes! Sometimes I feel like my family and friends kind of know what I do, but it was so fun to have my family actually get to SEE what I do in person! And of course we got to grab some fun photos together, thanks to my friend and second shooter for the day, Marissa!
Another highlight of the day was that there was between a 50% and 70% of thunderstorms and we didn’t see a DROP of rain!! And we even got little unexpected spurts of sunshine throughout the day! We had the prettiest light of the whole day after the ceremony, which was perfect timing for wedding party and portraits of Kodi and Mercedes as Husband and Wife.
I loved Mercedes sense of style for her wedding. It was so elegant and classy. The maid and matron of honors wore blush and gold sparkly dresses, and the other bridesmaids wore either blush or burgundy dresses, which was such a pretty combination, especially with florals from The Bloom Bar! The reception details were full of pinks and lace, classic romance novels, and the prettiest cake table with desserts by Sweet Treets. And the macarons were some of the best I’ve ever had!
I could never get tired of celebrating with sweet couples on their wedding day, and this day was no exception! Congratulations, Mr. & Mrs. Braunesriether! Thank you for having me along to capture your wedding.
