First of all: Courtney and Josh are such a fun couple! It didn’t phase them one bit to meet me on South Congress at 7AM on a Saturday. I love when couples are down for waking up before the crack of dawn on the weekend to take photos with me! While I don’t particularly enjoy waking up at 5AM to get to Austin to start shooting at 7, it’s worth it every time!

We started their Engagement Session along South Congress Avenue. This area is usually hopping with people, especially on the weekend. Since we got there so early, we beat out all the “weekend brunchers” and practically had the place to ourselves. This was super helpful when we kept walking back and forth across the street to get the PERFECT kiss shot with the Capitol and skyline in the background. (This is by far my favorite image from their session!) And because it was so early, there are no cars in the background – even better. 🙂
After walking around South Congress, we took a short drive over to the Lamar Street Pedestrian Bridge and took some more photos over there and along the Hike and Bike Trail by Town Lake. We had to do a little more people-dodging for these, but it worked out. I actually had some friends run right past us – small world!
The Wedding: September 23rd, 2016 @ Prospect House
These two are so fun and I absolutely CANNOT WAIT for their wedding next month at Prospect House with my friends Morgan from Frankie & Lenee Weddings and Bianca with Anthemum Floral Design!! A great couple + gorgeous venue + an amazing wedding planner + a crazy talented florist. It’s going to be good!

The clouds parted and I said “Hey guys, let’s do one more crosswalk photo – the sun just came out and I have a feeling it will be worth it!” Yep, sure was. ????
