I met Jacy when she was in high school and I was a freshman at UMHB. She was coming up to visit the campus for the weekend and just happened to be one of my good friend’s cousin AND randomly got assigned to stay with me in my little bitty dorm room. So fun! I was super excited when she contacted me to do a portrait session for her to celebrate her upcoming graduation from grad school!!
We started off her session down in this field at UMHB by Nolan Creek (which also happens to be one of my favorite places on campus). There was this tree in the back corner that a few weeks ago was covered in yellow leaves, that were now all over the ground, and the golden sunlight + these yellow leaves were a perfect spot to start. Jacy also brought along her dog, Sooie for the shoot, which made my dog-loving heart so happy! We snapped a few with Sooie and then (after Sooie found a big stick), let her play in the field while Jacy and I took some more photos. After that, we walked along the campus trail and then circled back around to take a few more photos by the river and ended her session at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor sign.
Enjoy some of my favorites from this fun shoot with these two!
