Point Dume Malibu Senior Photos | Thousand Oaks High School Senior Session
There’s something about Malibu that just works magic for senior photos — especially along the coastline at Point Dume. The mix of open beach, cliffs, and soft evening light gives you space to move and keeps everything feeling natural instead of overly posed.
For Ady’s session, we planned a mix of relaxed beach portraits, movement, and cap and gown photos to mark the end of her senior year. As a Thousand Oaks High School senior, she wanted something that felt simple and true to her — not overly styled, just clean, natural images that reflect this season well.

White Top and Jeans | A Casual Start for Malibu Senior Photos
We started the session with a white top and jeans — a simple, classic combination that always works well for beach photos. It’s an easy way to begin because it feels comfortable and familiar, which helps take the pressure off right away.
This kind of outfit pairs naturally with the Malibu coastline. Barefoot in the sand, walking along the shoreline, and letting the movement happen organically keeps everything feeling relaxed from the start.

Navy Dress Beach Portraits | Elevated Malibu Senior Photos
For the second look, Ady changed into a flowy navy dress, which gave the session a slightly more elevated feel while still staying natural.
We used a mix of seated poses in the sand and standing portraits near the lifeguard stands on Westward Beach. The darker tone of the dress contrasted really well with the light sand and ocean, adding variety without needing to change locations.

White Dress Beach Photos | A Timeless Senior Look
The white dress was the final outfit before cap and gown, and it’s always one of the strongest looks for beach sessions.
It reflects light beautifully and keeps everything feeling clean and timeless. We kept this portion simple — a mix of walking along the shoreline, seated portraits, and a few closer shots with softer light as the sun started to drop.
If you’re planning your own session, this is one of the easiest ways to get a classic look that won’t feel dated later.

Point Dume Cliffs | A Malibu Senior Photo Location
Point Dume is one of the most recognizable locations for Malibu senior photos, and for good reason. The cliffs add depth and variety without needing multiple locations, and the light here stays soft and even throughout sunset.
Using both the open beach and the cliffs allowed us to create a full gallery with different looks while keeping everything cohesive.

Cap and Gown Beach Photos | Malibu Graduation Session
We finished the session with cap and gown photos along the shoreline.
This part of the session is always a mix of a few more traditional portraits and some movement — walking through the water, turning back toward the camera, and a cap toss to end the night. It keeps graduation photos feeling a little more personal and less formal.

Thousand Oaks High School Senior Photos in Malibu
Ady is a Thousand Oaks High School senior, and Malibu is a popular choice for students coming from Thousand Oaks, Westlake Village, and nearby areas.
It gives you a completely different setting without having to travel far, and the beach naturally creates a more relaxed feel compared to more structured locations.
